On Friday, May 15, 2026, the shareholders of Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. (Staatsolie) approved the Company’s financial statements for the 2025 financial year at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM). Staatsolie contributed a total of US$ 400 million to the State of Suriname.
Invitation: Online Scoping Stakeholder Meeting Seimic Survey Shallow Offshore area
Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. (Staatsolie) plans to conduct a seismic survey in the Shallow Offshore area of Suriname. This area extends from the coastline to halfway between offshore blocks 15, 52, and 58, between the maritime borders with French Guiana and Guyana.
Suriname's Open-Door Offering Roadshow
On 24 November 2025, Staatsolie launched its Open-Door Offering to attract new investors to Suriname’s offshore acreage, which is estimated to hold more than 30 billion barrels of oil equivalent. Approximately 60 percent of Suriname’s offshore acreage is offered to oil and gas companies to explore a wide range of exploration opportunities, from shallow waters to deep offshore.
Staatsolie and Tax Department jointly launch three-year capacity-building programme
Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. and the Tax Department have launched a three year programme aimed at strengthening the expertise of tax and customs officials in the oil and gas sector. On 10 April 2026, both organisations signed the cooperation document for this programme.
Call for landowners ADP 2026
Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. will soon begin drilling in the area north of the Gangaram Panday Road. As part of our preparations, we are reaching out to landowners, rightsholders, and/or stakeholders of properties located in the area approximately 5.5 to 11.5 km north of the section of the Gangaram Panday Road between km 15 and km 26.
