From exploration and production to refining, distribution, and offshore development, Staatsolie manages activities across the energy value chain. Through safe, responsible, and efficient operations, we help power homes, businesses, and economic growth in Suriname.
Staatsolie's activities span the full energy value chain, from producing crude oil onshore to refining fuels, generating electricity, and supporting offshore developments. Each part of our operations plays an important role in delivering reliable energy while creating value for Suriname and its people.
Our onshore activities are divided into two core segments: Upstream and Downstream. Upstream focuses on the exploration, production, and treatment of crude oil from our fields in Saramacca. Downstream covers the refining of crude oil into high-quality fuels, power generation, storage, and distribution to customers across the country.
In addition, Staatsolie plays a key role in the development of Suriname's offshore petroleum sector, working with international partners to unlock new opportunities for the nation's future. Explore the sections below to learn more about each area of our operations.
