As part of Staatsolie’s Helping Hands programme, a team from Facility Maintenance Downstream supported Stichting Olga Clarck by renovating several bedrooms at the home. The project was completed successfully on 14 June 2026 and focused on improving the daily living conditions of the residents. By refreshing the sleeping areas, the volunteers helped create a more pleasant and comfortable environment.

The work included painting the bedrooms, replacing ceilings and bedroom doors, and renovating wardrobes. These practical improvements gave the rooms a cleaner and renewed appearance while also making the spaces more functional for daily use. In addition to the renovation work, the team members personally donated a food package worth SRD 10,000 to the home, showing their commitment beyond the project’s construction activities.

The team demonstrated how employee volunteerism can support vulnerable groups and strengthen community care. Their contribution helped provide the residents of Stichting Olga Clarck with a warmer, fresher and more comfortable home. The project is another example of Staatsolie employees using their skills, time and personal initiative to make a meaningful difference in the community.
