Suriname Shallow Offshore Bid Round 2023 Virtual Data Room Opened
Staatsolie Hydrocarbon Institute N.V. (SHI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V., is pleased to announce that as of today the virtual data room of the Shallow Offshore Bid Round is officially open for registered companies.
The Virtual Data Rooms (VDR’s) opens this week for review of Staatsolie’s latest Shallow Offshore (SHO2) bid round covering some 34,520 km2 underexplored open acreage on the shelf.
This follows the launch of this SHO2 bid round on the 7th of November 2023 and offers interested upstream energy companies the opportunity to participate in the significant success achieved to date in the Upper Cretaceous plays sourced by the prolific ACTC kitchen in the deeper water acreage of the Suriname – Guyana basin.
Staatsolie’s recent technical studies, including a far more detailed regional evaluation of the basin, have confirmed the evidence of at least one additional active source rock which is key to expel hydrocarbons capable of charging the large undrilled leads and prospects in the acreage on offer.
Interested parties can join the list of companies which have already registered and are preparing to have the post CA management presentations in early January 2024. The bid round deadline for offers ends on the 31st of May 2024.
