Demerara Bid Round 2022-2023 successfully closed

We are pleased to announce that the 2022-2023 Demerara Bid Round successfully closed for bid submissions as per 31 May 2023. We received qualified bids for three of the six blocks offered from several companies and/or consortia.
We thank all companies who had shown their interest in the Suriname’s Demerara Open Acreage. We will now proceed with the bid evaluation and will further communicate with the winning bidders before 30 June 2023 in order to conclude the producton sharing contracts. The names of the companies will be disclosed at the signing of the contracts.
The Demerara Bid Round ran from November 2022 to May 2023. Interested companies were invited to bid for six available blocks in the Demarara area, which is located in the North-East offshore Suriname. After registering, qualified companies received various technical sessions and other relevant information. The interested parties could also purchase data packages in order to make informed decisions.
