This REOI is part of the pre-qualification procedure and is intended to compile a shortlist of contractors with proven capabilities to carry out the works. Contractors on the shortlist may be invited to participate in a subsequent tender procedure. The detailed tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications will be published at a later stage.

Project Scope – Phase 1

The first phase comprises the construction of the following works:

• A concrete sheet pile wall on the left bank of the Saramacca River near the Pireng swimming pool, anchored to the intended competition swimming pool;

• A new competition swimming pool with a surface area of approximately 265 m² and four competition lanes

• A children's pool with a surface area of approximately 65 m² and a depth of approximately 0.60 m, on the site of the existing swimming pool.

Minimum qualification requirements

Interested contractors must demonstrate the following: 

• Demonstrable experience with similar civil engineering and construction projects, preferably including sheet pile structures, bank protection, and/or swimming pools. 

• Valid company registration, compliance with applicable tax and legal obligations, and willingness to register in the Staatsolie supplier portal.

• Experience executing projects of comparable scale in Suriname in the past five years is a plus.
